How To Stop Google Chrome From Opening Old Tabs at Startup

If you’re anything like me, you tend to open up multiple tabs at a time when working on a project. The last thing you want to see the next day when first opening up your Google Chrome profile is a remnant of your tab filled past. Which is why this guide exists!
Here is an easy way to stop Google Chrome from opening old tabs at startup!

Located on the top right of the window, click the three vertical dots. In the drop-down menu that appears, click Settings
.

In the settings page that opens, enter “startup” in the search bar. Your screen should now match the image above.

In order for Google to know not open previous tabs when starting up, make sure to check off the first option on the list: Open the New Tab page
.
Alternatively, you could have Google Chrome open on a specific page(s) if you’d prefer!
There you go! Now, whenever you open your Google Chrome, a blank new tab will appear instead of whatever you had been working on last!
